How Does RAD-140 Work?

The first published human study of RAD-140 was a phase 1 dose-escalation trial involving 22 postmenopausal women with estrogen-receptor-positive and HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer.

Participants received once-daily RAD-140 amounts of 50 mg, 100 mg or 150 mg under clinical supervision. The researchers evaluated safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, androgen-receptor engagement and preliminary antitumor activity.

The recommended dose for further research was reported as 100 mg once daily. The study found evidence that RAD-140 engaged the androgen receptor and reported preliminary antitumor activity in that specific cancer population.

This study did not evaluate healthy men, bodybuilding cycles, muscle growth, fat loss, strength or athletic performance. Its results should not be presented as proof of recreational RAD-140 outcomes.

What the Human Study Does and Does Not Show

The phase 1 trial confirms that RAD-140 has been administered to humans and that measurable androgen-receptor activity occurred.

However, the participants, research objective and amounts used were completely different from common performance-market use. The study involved women with advanced cancer receiving specialist medical monitoring.
